It's kind of stunning how many people don't realize that Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) is set in Japan. I went to watch the movie's trailer on Youtube, and the majority of the comments are along the lines of "how come everybody is Japanese?" or "Asian von Karma, what?"
Um, because the game's set in Japan. It was only in the American release where they changed the location to the US, as well as made some characters German.
Anyway, the movie is coming out on disc 8/22. I'll finally be able to watch it. In preparation, I started replaying the first game just to remind myself what happened. I want to see how closely the game matches up to the movie; the trailer does make it seem like a lot of ground will be covered.
